What is the Order of St. Maurice for? The long answer is that the Order of St. Maurice takes boys and teaches them the catechism, theology and apologetics. It teaches them courtesy, manners, and etiquette. It teaches them physical fitness and self control. It teaches them how to serve on the altar. It teaches them to defend the Church, women, the defenseless and the weak. It teaches them to care for the poor and the downtrodden. It shows them how to grow in the Cardinal Virtues and it helps them grow a strong prayer life.
The short answer is, the Order of St. Maurice prepares boys for manhood.
Boys as young as age 12 may join the Order.
